Is your “Theme Editor” option missing suddenly? Here is a quick fix of disppearing Theme Editor button for SiteGround users.
Recently one of my sites has migrated to SiteGround Hosting. If you have requested for manual site transfer, the technical support team should have installed 2 additional plugins in your site:
- SiteGround Optimizer
- SiteGround Security
The issue is from the plugin – SiteGround Security.
Solution:
Go to SG Security > Site Security > disable the option of “Disable Themes & Plugins Editor”.
The Theme Editor should now come back!
If you are not a SiteGround user, check the following site to see if the solution works for you. But this is more technical, you will need to edit the wp-config file in cPanel.
